La maggior parte delle mie freehand sono il risultato della “lettura” della radica. A volte, quando la forma lo permette, lascio la crosta, la parte esterna del ciocco. Tutte le pipe freehand sono prodotte prevalentemente dalle placche della miglior radica calabra e toscana, stagionate almeno tre anni. Il bocchino è anch’esso fatto a mano dalla barra di cumberland, di metacrilato o di ebanite.
